This is a project of my conworld. I started creating it at the beginning of 2005. I wanted to do something, which will be funny and full of absurds. The geography is relatively realistic, and the history "ends" in the year 3000, where the technology level is similar to the Earth's 2025.
The planet is actually called Zea. Yermenia is only the name of the continent, where the strongest countries lie. This is a small part of it (the continent's centre):
The strongest country is The Kingdom of Ferrint ruled from Tajgar city. It has its own language, Ferrinti with very complete grammar (PL only) and a 1000-word dictionary. Here are some sample sentences:
Sæ chancestus sas verrow grǎd. - The car is very fast.
Thri Ferrintens quammû ann vlak tražžedia ens Sem. - Three Ferrinters die in train crash in Sem.
Omtit tâ Batser, allein nonenfalsilt věm nevel bacres. - Batser opened the door for me, still not dressed in his new trousers.
Mattiŝ, sǔh keis vrôtisû ann sæ fainet. - Mum, the keys lie on a fridge.
I've already written five stories located in Yermenia, that show some absurd ideas and technologies used here:
- Jet-Engine Railroads (VIT - Vlakil Internacional Trâsport).
- The religion, where the people pray to The Great Console.
- Most of the capitals are called The Capital in local languages.
- Crazy relationships between the countries. For example, Ferrint moved quietly at night its border line and took over some territory :).
- Some geographical names: The Land of Flying Axes, The Land of Flying Chainsaws, The Archipelago of Flying Ploughs.
Maybe one day I'll translate the materials into English and you also will be able to discover Yermenia.
